Copper Edge Apartment. A Dialogue Between Art and Contemporary Design
This 75 m² apartment was designed as an elegant, functional, and cohesive living space for a client who appreciates art, contemporary design, and refined aesthetics. The interior has a strong identity—harmonious yet full of contrasts, where color, materials, and carefully considered details play the leading role.
The open-plan living room and kitchen were conceived as the comfortable heart of everyday life. A neutral palette of soft greys provides a calm backdrop for bold copper-orange accents that bring warmth and character to the space.
The kitchen flows seamlessly into the living area. Sleek cabinetry, natural stone countertops, and a restrained color palette create an elegant and organized composition. A stone island paired with comfortable black bar stools by Hay replaces the traditional dining table, while carefully designed lighting highlights the richness of the materials and subtly defines the functional zones.
At the center of the living room is a custom-made modular leather sofa with soft, sculptural forms. Art plays a defining role in the design—a large-scale abstract painting creates the narrative of the interior, giving it a distinctive, collector's character.
The bedroom was designed as a calm and intimate retreat. Deep, saturated colors complement a comfortable bed by Living Divani, a Vibia light fixture, and a painting by Iwona Bilska, creating a sophisticated and expressive atmosphere.
The minimalist home office is completed by a striking Wall&decò wallpaper, giving the space its own identity while reinforcing the apartment's overarching concept of blending design with art.
The bathroom continues the apartment's warm, cohesive palette, enriched by a bold copper-orange accent that adds energy and personality. Built-in cabinetry and wall finishes form an almost monolithic composition, emphasizing the project's minimalist aesthetic.
Black fixtures provide a strong yet elegant contrast against the warm surfaces. A frameless glass shower enclosure with clean lines visually enlarges the space while preserving its lightness. Contrasting textures—from structured wall tiles to subtly textured flooring—create a harmonious, tactile composition.
The COPPER EDGE apartment is designed for those who appreciate bold contrasts and seek more than beautiful interiors. It is a thoughtfully crafted space with a distinctive identity, where every detail has been carefully considered.
